After two years I am finally back with the Worx and doing the Journey again. I am excited and scared about this journey. This round of my journey comes with new medical issues, new personal issues, professional…. Let me just face it I have all the issues you can think of. I know if I focus and stress over these issues I will let it affect my journey. I will only have myself to blame.  However I’m determined to not let it affect my journey. The main issue I am afraid of affecting my journey is my health issue. Tomorrow will be a month that I was in the hospital. I went to work at my second job and my legs collapsed on me. I spend a whole week in the hospital as they did test and tried to figure out what was going on. They did all sorts of test and could not find out what was wrong. One test I first refused to take was doing a spinal tap so they could find if a special protein was positive with what they thought I had. My brother nudge me to do it. The test I was going to refuse to take was the test that told me what I actually had. Two weeks ago I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). It wasn’t a complete shocker, because back in 2011 I was told I was a candidate. However it was shocking because now I was diagnosed, my walking is not normal, my memory is completely off, I’m always feeling week and dizzy, and even have to walk with a walker  (wow writing this is pretty releasing). To know that a month ago I was walking around normal and today I walk around crippled is heartbreaking to me. It’s not that I care what others are thinking (at first I did) however I am more worried about me because I am my own biggest critic. Which I totally have to work on. In spite of all the odds against me, I decided I was going to gain control of my body again, and not let MS defeat me. After I got out of the hospital I rejoined the Worx, and decided to do the journey. I got set up with Danielle and Flo who are my coaches. Both ladies are inspiring. Danielle because we share the same MS disease and Flo from her battle with Diabetes. I am blessed to have both of them. Danielle shows me every day you don’t let MS defeat you, you defeat MS.  She has been giving me the following in the short time she has been my coach:
- Guidance on health.
-How to cope with disease
-I love she always checks in on me.
-A diet that will help with the MS and the Journey
-Help with TRX!
-Confidence to deal with everything

I know that this journey will be successful and I am ready for the challenge! I am definitely fired up and ready to go!
L- I learned I am stronger than what I thought. Sometimes it’s hard working out especially when I feel light headed and dizzy or when my legs feel really heavy. I stay strong and focused and try to adjust my work outs where I can keep going. If it’s too hard I will stop get a drink of water rest for few seconds or minutes and keep going.  My coach, I learned she is very knowledgeable, influential, and genuinely cares about my journey and my health. I love my team at the Worx, they are encouraging, hardworking, and very determined which encourages me as well.

O-Change is hard! It can make you frustrated and angry. Especially with this weight loss journey and MS. MS is bringing a lot of changes personally and health wise. However once surround yourself with the right people,  have a positive I can do it no matter what mindset and attitude, make sure you are knowledge and have the right resources change will not seem so hard after a while.

G- 1st small goal- I completed Maia’s Saturday bootcamp! That was hard!
2nd small goal- I went to Tuesday 6 ‘clock work out.
3rd small goal- I did 3 work outs on Tuesday- 6 am Worxout, Bootcamp, and TRX class.
4th small goal- I lost 1.2 pounds! Yay!!!!!
5th Big Goal- I’m sorry I can’t call this a small goal. I got my mom to join the Worx all the way from Delaware! I am so happy that she and Maia are working together and I can already tell that these two are working great together!
